Imagine Dragons is the name of this cool Alternative/Indie Rock band that I've been really hooked to. The way they put out their music really intrigues me. I like it because it really fits any type of audience. Whether its parents, kids, boys or girls anyone can like listening to them. One of their songs, that i'm listening to on repeat at the moment, called "One Time" is one of my favorite songs right now. I think its so unique how they make clapping sounds with their hands and stomp their feet to make a beat. They have two versions of it on youtube, one of which is him singing lower and the other is the original recorded one.
Another thing I like about this song is its one that doesn't really explain the meaning to it. The video is very abstract and almost like a puzzle trying to see how it fits the song. Here's the chorus: I don't ever want to let you down I don't ever want to leave this town 'Cause after all This city never sleeps at night...
It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then, I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was Now don't you understand That I'm never changing who I am? I think what he means in the lyrics is he was trying his all to be what someone else wanted him to be, but after trying to change he realizes he's never going to change who he really is and learns to be proud of it and also a message to be true to who you are.You have to go into deep thought and think about it but everyone can interpret it in many different ways which is really amazing to me. Of course I enjoy their other songs "Radioactive" and "On Top of the World" but if you haven't heard this band you should really check them out.
